The original is a two-season adaption of Guilt, a horrific Fargo-esque thriller set in Edinburgh, Scotland, that aired on the BBC. The Ooty-set Bloody Brothers, like other Hindi remakes of western programmes, is a faithful replication with little local flavour.
Furthermore, Ali’s clumsy and unoriginal direction makes it difficult to sit through Bloody Brothers, which surprised me given how consistently enjoyable Guilt was.
